Little Monster

He really is so cute. Like, really. A few weeks ago, he was all ready for bed, smelling wonderful and feeling so snugly in his monster pj's. Brian wasn't home yet and I needed to make his bedtime bottle. I sat him in his bumbo (on the island...this was pre-escaping the bumbo days) to get all the stuff out. When I turned around, he had the sweetest little look on his face. Griffin is not usually patient when he knows food is coming, but this night he waited quietly and calmly.

Lately, he does not want to be snuggled; no rocking, no holding like a baby, etc. I read a quote that said:

"Rocking a baby is less like a Johnson&Johnson commercial and more like wrestling a 20 pound bag of snakes."

This has become so so true. Bedtime is now my favorite time because he usually falls asleep drinking his bottle, which means I can lay him over my shoulder, snuggle his body close and rock him to my heart's content. I love that baby so very much.

p.s. Those eyes? Seriously??
