Talking Faces

Griffin is a talker.
The most adorable talker in the world.
He also makes hilarious faces when he talks.
Please enjoy the following montage.
And please excuse his fuzzy hair.

This one is my favorite. For obvious reasons.

Froggie Update

The doorbell rang last Monday evening, during The Bachalorette. Normally I would be annoyed with such an interuption, however, I saw Quinn's (the owner of the deceased Brown Frog) tiny face in the window. We opened the door to find 3 little boys, each holding a vase of flowers.

"Thank you for watching our frogs!" they said in unison.

(In my head, I'm thinking "Seriously? I killed the frog.")

How cute is this card? The best part about the whole thing is the beautiful drawing of me.
And my sweet ponytail.

I love little boys.

Two Months Old!

My tiny boy is two months old. I cannot believe he is that big, or that it has only been that long - does that make sense?

We went to visit Dr. Reyes for his well-check. It was awful. He had to get two shots, one of which "is a doozy..."

Last time, I turned away - this time, they asked me to hold his legs down. It was the most horrible thing I have ever done in my life. Griffin and I were both hysterical. My heart hurt so bad for him.

On a happier note, he is growing, growing, growing! Weight: 11.14lbs (56th percentile) and Height: 23 in (53rd percentile). My tiny little guy who was so very small is now so very big.

He is talking a whole lot. People comment on what a vocal child he is - this could go either way for us in the future, but for now I am extremely proud. He is following things with his eyes, pushing himself up onto to elbows, and grabbing objects.

While he is very attached to me, he adores his daddy. I don't recieve the same smiles or gazes that Brian does.

One more thing:

"Red hair, huh?" - Dr. Reyes

Worms, Crickets, and Frogs

Last week, the neighbors down the street asked me to feed their frogs while they were out of town. The Preece Family consists of Marci and Adam, and their four little boys: Isaac (red-headed), Henry (blonde), Quinn (red-headed), and Cannon (red-headed).

Most everybody knows I have a soft spot for red-headed boys...

Of course I would look after the frogs! The frogs belonged to Henry and Quinn. Quinn is five and will be going to kindergarten this year. Quinn is adorable, and when they come and visit, he shoves his little head into the window by the door to see if someone is home. Quinn is so super cute.

And Quinn's frog, Brown Frog, was sick.

Marci had told me before that Brown Frog was sick. She called the first day I was to feed them and asked if I could give Brown Frog 1 worm and 2 crickets, instead of just 2 worms. Apparently crickets help sick frogs.

As much as I love red-headed boys, I hate worms and crickets. Worms that I had to dig around for in a container of 100 to find a live one. Crickets that Marci said I could just "toss" into the cage. I don't "toss" crickets. Gross.

Well, Brown Frog did die, indeed. Marci asked me if I would "take care of it" so Quinn wouldn't see his dead frog. As much as I hate worms and crickets, I hate dead frogs more. Poor little Brown Frog's body had adhered itself to the fake rock. I had to unstick his body.

Luckily, Griffin was wailing downstairs, so I had to do it fast.

Rest In Peace, Brown Frog.

Worms, crickets, and frogs. Is that my future?

I hope so :)

A Real Person!

The whole time I was pregnant, I could not wrap my head around the fact that there was a real person inside of me. A very tiny human.

But then he got his first letter.

His Social Secruity Card, no less.

He is real, indeed.

Please Disregard...

...the information in the previous post concerning Griffin's "schedule."

The child woke up seven times last night.

Good thing he is cute....
