Baby, You've Got The Cutest Personality

As far as personality goes, Griff has got a lot of it. What did we expect? He has some of the funniest expressions, and will ham it up if you're laughing. He is also very stubborn and it can be pretty hilarious when he is disgruntled. He will glare around while furiously sucking on his bink. I love it!

He is starting to understand that he can move himself. Today I placed a toy just out of his reach and the next time I came through the room, he had inched 90 degrees another way and had the toy in his mouth.

Smart? I think so.
Handsome? Absolutely.
Funny? Yep.

Some (most) of these are blurry, but I don't care.

He could make somebody very lucky someday. Too bad he is staying with his mom forever.

The Miracle Blanket

Indeed, a miracle.

At first glance, it looks like a straight jacket. Maybe even the second and third glances also. It consists of two arm flaps that go over his arms and under his back. Another flap comes across his body and tucks in to his armpit. His little legs are tucked into a pouch, and to top everything off, a final long flap wraps around everything three times.

He loves it.

He starts smiling and holds still for you to wrap him up. He is adorable.
He goes to bed at 9pm and doesnt peep until (these days...) 6:30am. I'll take it!

Mini

Can I have too many post where Brian and Griffin look the same and/or are wearing the same thing?

I don't think so.

This was a few weeks ago, before church. My niece Shelby and I had found a onesie at Children's Place with a tie sewn on. I got Griff dressed and presented him to his dad. Brian said "I'll wear a blue shirt with a black tie, too!" Presh.

Brian plays in a church softball league. Not ours, but with Abundant Life Church - he loves it. This fall, he is on the White Team. Griffin wanted to show his allegiance.

Boomer.

My men are so cute :)

Daddy's Bath

The majority of the time, I am the one who gives Griffin a bath a night before bed - I love getting him ready, putting his little lotions on his rolly body, and then giving him his bottle. He is so sweet and perfect. Having said that, I am pretty no nonsense when it comes to the bath. He likes to splash a lot, and then I quickly and efficiently scrub his body, drain the water, and pour cups of water over him to get the soap off.

Recently, Brian has been wanting to give Griffin his baths (Griff is just irresistable in the bath - splish splash!) and I think it is wonderful. Brian is much more thorough, more concerned with Griffin getting cold, and lets him play longer...it is so sweet.

I couldn't bear to leave a single picture out...you understand.

Manny

We call Brian's grandmother Manny. Manny will be turning 90 on her next birthday - she is a hoot! We skyped with her after Griffin was born (Scott helped), and right after we disconnected, she turned to Scott and Cherie and said "I think Griffin is a horrible name."

Coming from Manny, this was hilarious! Griffin met his Manny for the first time a couple of weekends ago. He LOVED her. He talked and cooed and smiled and kicked. It was so so precious.

Manny is pretty frail, or so we thought. She had no trouble at all handling my chubby wubby boy.

It was really special for Brian to see Griffin love his Manny.

Love.

The old and the new. Life truly is amazing.

Halloween...

This is Griffin's Halloween costume. I thought a giraffe would be aproppraite, a tribute really, considering Griffin's fondness for his beloved Giraffe.

Lil Giraffe Elite Collection Infant/Toddler Costume

Don't worry, I'm already planning to post a picture of him in the costume, beside this one, to show how much cuter he is than this baby (not that this baby isnt't adorable!). I truly feel that he is superior in most catagories when compared to other children his age :)

My Helper

Griffin loves to ride around with me in the Baby Bjorn. This was all fine until last week when, overnight, he became too heavy. One walk around the block caused horrible back pain for the next week. Sad.

Anyways, he would "help" me with household duties, happily riding around while I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, or dusted cabinets. One day while switching the laundry from washer to dryer, I noticed his little face reflected in the knob. Adorable.

This discovery prompted other photos of places that Griffin would appear:

He is my little person, who goes everywhere with me. I love it.
